And it’s an excellent way to help get rid of the stresses of everyday life.

Here are some tips from Kozma for working out the stress, and working in good physical and mental conditioning.

  • Use exercise to manage stress: Working out expels excess nervous energy–the energy bouncing around in your body with no place to go, causing stress and irritability.
  • Start slow and steady every day: Discipline yourself to stay with a workout schedule by starting slow and steady.
  • Work out every day: If you’re very busy, work out in the morning before your day gets away from you.
  • Post reminders of your workout schedule: Everyone leads busy lives these days. It’s hard to keep track and keep on schedule. Remind yourself of one of the most important aspects of your day – working out – by posting notes around your house… on the refrigerator, makeup mirror, by the car keys, etc.

Here are some basic concepts to consider if you’re thinking about getting into heavy lifting:

  • Don’t expect fat loss: Weight training uses anaerobic exercises that are intended to shape muscles—not burn fat.
  • Structure a workout to achieve your desired results: Every desired result requires a different workout. To maintain the current tone of your body, you can work out as little as two times a week. To increase tone, work out three to four times a week; to build muscle mass, a completely different workout schedule and structure is necessary.
  • Work out at the same time each day: Over time, your body will come to expect the workout and will automatically optimize its energy level for that time.
  • Train body parts equally: Don’t let your body get out of balance by only working one body part, such as your chest. Unbalanced muscles can lead to injury.

I live in Chicago so I used Jason's online personal training. It was a great experience especially for the price. He would monitor my workouts each week and let me know if I should be able to go heavier on an exercise based on everything else I was doing. He'd also review my recorded diet and tell me where to tweak things. He was also good about reminding me to update my weight and progress pics, and he'd adjust the workouts or diet based on that. He was honest about how much weight/muscle I should expect to gain and didn't try to make huge promises just to get business.

I have wanted to work out and get into the habit of going to the gym for a long time now. I found Jason on google and he connected me with Jerry. Jerry trains me and I work with Jason on my diet to make sure I am exercising and getting all the foods/supplements I need for my body. It's the best thing I've done!!!!!!
