Lost 20 lbs!
I never knew what I was truly getting myself into once I signed up with Jason Kozma and worked closely with Sherlyn Roy. I knew I wanted to change my physique and lifestyle for the better. I was active to begin with, but never felt my physique had reached its’ optimal prime. One can always improve and change their body image at any point in time; I knew I was ready for that change in my life. It takes true discipline to ensure success with the program. It is not a limited plan for the time being, but rather, something to incorporate on a daily basis within one’s life. I learned the various aspects of nutrition by feeding myself the right foods at the right time and performing proper physical training; these changed my results dramatically. They kept taking me to another level week by week, and my results showed quickly. I slimmed down, became lean, and most importantly gained a positive image physically and mentally. It’s the commitment to myself and the commitment that Jason & Sherlyn shared with me to see my goals achieved, which helped me be where I am today. I don’t run in the circles of people who have “personal trainers.” But I had let myself go and I needed some serious help so when we got some unexpected money, it was my highest priority. I knew I wanted a female trainer. I found Tasha online at High Performance Personal Training. Tasha responded immediately and was available and flexible. She would come to me at home and was reasonably priced. Too good to be true! She’s really sweet, down-to-earth and intimidatingly pretty but I really liked her so I committed to 6 weeks. We met 3 times a week. She knew how to push me and motivate me. She’s tough; in a good way. The workouts were never the same so I couldn’t psych myself out or get bored. There was a natural progression of building up the weak areas of my body and trying new things that would get results. I wrote down everything I ate and she looked it over at each session. I got encouragement, admonishment and helpful tips. At the one month mark, I had lost a total of 12 inches! I went from a full size 12 to a 10. She was as excited for me as I was as we did a little dance in the street. I was so excited about the changes in my body that I decided to go for another month instead of 2 more weeks. By the end of the second month I was seeing real muscle definition and lost another 2 inches. Now my size 10s are loose. I’m scared about going it alone but I know I’ve made a lifestyle change. Everyone in my life already knows about Tasha but I will tell anyone else who will listen how great she is. The results speak for themselves!
Your online personal training program is awesome. I had been training with someone for the past 2 years face to face and had some concerns that trying to do this in Texas and my trainer being in California was going to mean I was on my own. That was the furthest from the truth. I appreciate the dedication you give your clients, I felt like you might as well have been right here with me with your interactions. I consider myself pretty healthy and in shape but was looking for something to take it up a notch and I accomplished that and more. I have never had the definition I now have in my body. I won’t lie, it is a lot of work but well worth every minute I put into it. Anyone that does not get amazing results from your online personal training program did not put all of their effort into it. You will absolutely get amazing results if you stick to the nutrition, workouts and supplements. You make it easy to follow. Thank you for your support and advice. I have learned a lot along this path and find myself passing the information on and educating others about ways to get more from their workouts and eating habits. Can’t wait to see where else I go with this. Thanks!!!!

I am an accredited coach and competitor with over 11 years of experience in the fitness industry. I began training while still studying for a Kinesiology/Exercise Science degree at Orange Coast College. My roots in fitness go back to age 11 when I began occasionally waking up early to do calisthenics and aerobics with my mother, a hospital nurse and aerobics instructor. By the time I entered hIgh school, I was hooked.
I have my primary certification with NASM but I have also been certified by AFAA and have a kickboxing certification, as well. I have worked not only as a trainer but also for two years as a “Fitness Director.” As head manager of the entire training department for Bally Total Fitness in Culver City, my primary responsibility was to keep the training program fresh, exciting, and profitable. I had over fifty personal trainers working for me, all of whom I hired and trained with the latest training techniques. After 3 years, I left Bally’s and began my experience as a physique competitor.
My competitive years, 2006-07, were an invaluable experience which helped me to mature and excel as a personal trainer. In 2006 I competed in the Muscle Mania World Championships and placed 4th in my weight class. Before I competed, I had been very successful in getting people to vastly improve their appearance and physical fitness but I had yet to coach anyone to the point of being truly elite. To even qualify to enter a physique competition, one has to endure, on average, 6 months of rigorous training and dieting. Imagine if you decided to enter the LA marathon and intended not only to finish but to place in the top 20. You have to keep your full time job while you are in training, which forces you to learn a level of discipline you never thought yourself capable of. The sense of achievement and pride you attain from meeting this challenge can permanently change your self image. My competition experience have me the skills to make a person with a below average physique into a fitness competitor. I have had the pleasure of helping several people to reach a level of fitness they never thought possible.
I believe I can coach anyone to become physically elite, if they so desire. I have had experience with children, elderly, handicapped, athletes, and novice trainees. I have helped to rehab injuries for every major joint, including tendonitis, chondromalacia, plantar fascitis, abdominal tears, scoliosis, frozen shoulder, bulging or fused discs, ACL reconstruction, bone spurs and osteophytes, etc. I have delt with eating disorders, diabetes, diverticulitis, rheumatoid arthritis and patients with major organ transplants. I am able to correct major postural distortions like swayback, knock-nees, and pronation. I can train people to improve athletic performance factors such as agility, coordination, balance, and flexibility. Most of all, my competition experience has made me an expert at shaping and toning specific areas of the body.
The secret of my success is attention to detail and customer service. I will be with you face to face 2-4 hours per week but the real work is done outside of the gym so I put a lot of my energy in to customizing a diet for you and educating you to create your own diet and training programs in the future. I charge only for the meeting time in the gym but I will be your trainer 24/7 and do whatever it takes to get you to your goal. I look forward to meeting you.
